Your poems - Year 4
Sarah-Fay Adedeji - I am half and half
I am part Nigerian and part English
I am part signing and whole speaking
I feel absolutely fine and confident
I am part happy and half angry
I am part confident and half shy
I am part active and lazing in a bubble bath
I am part black because my family is black and a bit white because my friends are white that is how I feel

A piece of me is neat and a piece of me is messy
I am a bit lovely and nice and a bit mean nasty also rude
I am a little deaf and a bit hearing
I am part helpful and a bit lazy

All the time I feel upset and uncomfortable about my hearing loss going down.

Labake Jolaoso - Untitled
I love my mum and dad because I have fun with them
And they always buy what I want
I love my hearing aids
I don’t care what my sister shout, “are you deaf or not”
And screaming at me IT HURT MY EARS
I love going shopping
No matter who make noise.

Beth Brown - Hearing
I like friend deaf with Sarah-Fay and Labake can sign.

I hate loud noises if the line is quiet I can hear the bell.

I like my cochlear but don’t like hearing aids.

Neve Whibberley - Really Happy
I'm as happy as a snake in a lake
I'm as happy as a cat with a rat
I'm as happy as a duck in the muck
I'm as happy as a pig, fat and big

I'm as happy as a dog in the fog
I'm as happy as a slug with a bug
I'm as happy as a seal with a meal
I'm as happy as a bear in a lair
