‘Life & Deaf’ brought together powerful poetry written by children exploring Deaf identity...
Now the project is being launched UK-wide!
Each local Education Service will soon receive the ‘Life & Deaf II’ poetry workbook.
This ‘do-it-yourself’ pack contains a wide range of ready-made worksheets, ideally suited to teaching / therapy sessions, which could be carried out by teachers, speech and language therapists, support staff or families.
With your support, we hope to reach children across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, with any level of deafness, attending a range of educational settings, including mainstream schools, Designated Specialist Provisions and Schools for the Deaf. We would also welcome poetry from deaf or hearing relations or friends.
Submitted poetry (written, signed or spoken) will be displayed on this website (see Your Poems).
Each participant will receive a certificate.
